KAIRAT TAKE SYDNEY! SFA Event 3 Recap

The STREET FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA March 2025 3X3 event was the most successful event to date. 10 teams, 30+ athletes.

KAIRAT SYDNEY TAKING VICTORY

As many of you know, there can only be one winner in these events. After 2 deep runs in the past 2 events Kairat finally took that big step into taking the victory home. Kairat completed a masterclass tournament run winning all 4 group matches, the semi final and then the final. A 3-2 win in the final against Sydney Street Crew was the final piece of the puzzle, holding onto the lead after a fight back near the end. Kairat took home the 2500 points needed to cement their place amongst the 3X3 elite in Australia.

RANKING MOVEMENT

With their win Kairat jump from 3rd place to 2nd place, with a single good result being all that separates them from first place Sydney Street Crew. Sydney Street Crew themselves finished 2nd in the event which was enough to hold onto the top spot in the rankings, however Kairat has gained ground. North Sydney Futsal Club have finished in 3rd which after 2 events have them in 4th place overall in the rankings. Indoor5s have dropped to 3rd place with their 4th placed finish, being overtaken by Kairat. All other teams only gained the 250 points for participating, meaning very little movement below the top 4. NM Futsal, East Coast FC, Mosaic, Olympia, and Los Samba Lions have all kept the same rank after the results of event. Hurlestone Wanderers have joined as a new club, taking up the 10th place in the rankings.
