This Is Why We Need X1 (1v1)
TLDR: X1 is the building block to the all round individual football player, this is why Street Football Australia brought the format to Australia!

In what is becoming a global phenomenon of a sport. X1 Street Football is being taken to new heights in Australia by Street Football Australia, creating the building blocks for the best Street Footballers to be forged.

SYDNEY STREET CREW'S OPINON

Asher Rahimi: "I personally really like X1, it’s the purest form of learning to use your body one on one, skill moves and for me finishing. X1 with a keeper requires thinking about how to score a goal rather than simply beating a player."

ASPIRE AFC'S OPINION

Zayne Gray: "Street Football X3 for me is one of the best ways to improve as a player. It helps with your first touch, 1v1 situations, both attacking and defending and forces you to try different things and become a more creative minded player! I believe this also applies to the X1 where both attacking and defending is forced to improve as you are playing as an individual and if you make a mistake it will cost you a goal nearly every time! with no goal keeper there to save you! The small goal I believe also helps with accuracy almost like hitting the corner of the full size goal! 1v1 mode with a goal keeper can be a little more forgiving if you make a mistake as you do have that second line of defence but again you do need to be sharp and not make as many mistakes as you would be able to with a team. It will improve your finishing and shooting skills to as you also need to beat the keeper! All of these types of street football styles all help to improve you as an individual player which helps you when you come across these situations in a team environment, it’s a fun and exciting way to become a better player!"

A KEEPERS OPINION

Calum McNair: "As a goalkeeper myself I find the X1 half court games not only fun but also very educational. During game days it’s very rare that I have the opportunity to try out new and different techniques to stop an attack. Meanwhile with this half court, I have more than enough chances to try out new ways to annoy attackers by stopping their shots. It is also great to help boost my endurance and confidence for a Futsal game. Especially coming off from a regular football season where I have to retrain and recondition myself back to Futsal mindset. It is also a great way to train outfielders the importance of building up skills as an attacker and as a defender. As in my experience I have found many attackers love to attack but never come back to help defend. If you want to win the X1 half court games you’re gonna have to learn how to do both exquisitely."

This is why you need to play and focus on X1, it shapes you as a player and forces you into uncomfortable positions which allow you to grow at an alamingly quick rate which no other format of football can match.
